We predict it as the trend for the 2020’s: Wabi Sabi.
We’ve developed a collection of pots and vases, made of wood and iron, that are broken and repaired, or the wood has weathered in a special way.
Wabi Sabi is the art of the imperfection, according the Japanese tradition.
Below are some examples of our WabiSabi collection, shown during the Maison&Objet Exhibition in Paris January 2022.
As each piece is unique and supply limited to the artist’s “production” capactiy, we share photos of newly finished bowls which can then be ordered.Â
Also in the volume production series, each item is unique due to the nature of the product, yet we are able to produce in volume items that are 85% similar. Besides that we also have Exclusive One Off’s.
Below are some previews pictures, contact us if you want more info!
Wabi Sabi volume production
… mass produced yet each one unique, that’s a valuable part of this series.
Carved and bended pieces of wood for a bowl, sometimes held together with iron staples of small metal plates.
The finishes with usually be very natural, though we may apply some protective wax
Some series are treated to have a more weathered look, sometimes burnt.
We keep variations in size to 10%, and overall each item will look and feel 85% similar.

Unique One Off Art Crafting
As Luxury Editions of the Wabi Sabi Series, we present unique pieces of art. These are one off items, made 1 by 1 by a craftsmen, who puts all his heart into it.
Big chunks of trees trunks, turned and carved into vases or bowls, weather by burning them, sometimes into a coal black finish… one item takes days of work.
Obviously these don’t come in large quantities and we’ll be sharing on a regular basis with our dealers what comes out of production.
