In the past 15 years, our founders have seen Chinese designers increase in quality and creativity. There is a new identity maturing. We are convinced that in the coming years also “the West” will appreciate these innovative designs by coming (and some established) talents.
We want to be a trendsetter and created:
the ORIENTAL Collection.
SUNs drew for us 2 series: ULFUR and OTARU, combining elements of traditional Chinese culture (brown porcelain, tiny feet, …) with an overall modern look.
It’s no surprise that the OTARU vase was selected at Maison&Objet Paris for the Most innovative Design competition “KaleidoScope” by Francois Bernard.
The proportions are just perfect, the design sober and good like any icon, the bronze-fading-to-black finish adds a touch of traditional craftsmanship.
But it’s the ULFUR vase that impresses most, more revolutionary with a vessel resting on an elegant vertical base, SUNs got his inspiration from traditional Chinese dresses.
In group they look like a piece of art.
Beautiful enough on their own, the Oriental Series is a prefect match with ikebana. the Japanese floral art.
